Before the season started in August, I did a segment on two-point plays. With more teams “going for two” more often under the new rules structure for extra point attempts, I wanted to take a look at the types of things teams might consider doing near the goal line.
Those plays were diagrammed for more of a pocket QB, using the Patriots Tom Brady as the model. I then started wondering what kind of things a team with a mobile QB might do in those situations. The QB’s ability to move puts a lot of stress on a defense in short areas of the field.
