These Stat For Stat battles get tighter and tighter by the week! The deeper we get into the playoffs, the more evenly matched the teams are, and despite a blowout the last time the Steelers and Chiefs faced off, there are some good stat lines on both sides of this one. Pat wears the Steelers’ Black & Gold this week, while Jim waves the KC Chiefs flag!
Jim kicked things off with Andy Reid’s record after a bye (19-2). He also likes Alex Smith’s winning percentage. Pat went right to the head to head blowout during the regular season. He also has Ben Roethlisberger on his side, the most accurate deep passer in the game. He also likes Ben’s production in bad weather, which is expected this weekend. Jim will take the more accurate passer in Smith. When it comes to the ball, Jim expects KC to win the turnover battle. Both men pointed to stout defenses, Pat doesn’t think the Chiefs have an answer for Le’Veon Bell, though. They went on to go through the whole roster – Antonio Brown, Travis Kelce, Justin Houston, Bud Dupree, etc., etc.
In the end, both men claimed victory, as they do every week! No need for shades this week. The team that can win in the slop will be headed to the AFC Championship Game.
