Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller compete in a head to head stat battle in Round 4 of our newest RFN feature. Jim was standing up for the Ravens in this one, trying to use statistical notes and data to show why Baltimore might be able to do the improbable and go to Foxboro and beat the Patriots on Monday night. Pat argued for the Patriots.
This became a pretty heated back and forth. Pat came out swinging with Tom Brady’s record at home. Jim countered with Joe Flacco’s higher yardage total. Pat came back with New England’s advantage in explosive runs and dropped passes. Jim chose to talk about passes caught and Baltimore’s top-ranked run defense. He compared the Ravens’ receiving corps of Wallace, Smith, and Perriman over Edelman, Amendola, and Mitchell. Pat pointed to New England’s “Pony” backfield. Jim bragged on the Ravens sack numbers, while Pat came back at him with the Patriots’ AFC-best points allowed……and THEN they started in on the special teams! No stone was left un-turned in this one!
Who won? This might be the toughest vote yet. Check out the video and let us know what you make of the chaos. Give us your winner by tweeting us at @realfootballtv #statforstat and we’ll start keeping some stats of our own!
