All of us here at the Real Football Network are excited to be escaping to the Margaritaville state of mind every Saturday to bring you a unique new content feature called Margaritaville Football. As Jimmy Buffett’s tour traveled across the country this year, production coordinator Heikki Larsen sat down with football personalities to talk sports, music, living the Margaritaville lifestyle and more.
We opened the program a couple weeks ago with former Super Bowl champion coach and current ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden. Last week, Heikki sat down with three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt. This week, he talks with NBC Football Night in America analyst and former NFL player Cris Collinsworth.
Cris is a TRUE Parrothead who “came down from Cincinnati”! The former Bengals WR has attended more than 25 Buffet shows, and he even sings a verse from “The Great Filling Station Holdup” during our podcast. That’s a serious deep cut folks. This guy knows his stuff. Throughout the interview, Cris talks about the unique experience of Jimmy’s shows in a place like Cincinnati, and the time he got a call-out from Jimmy during a show. He also reminisces about growing up in Florida, and his days as a Florida Gator, and he shares his life experiences in the NFL as both a player and a broadcaster. Take a listen and hear the true excitement that Cris has for all things Margaritaville! You can only find it here, exclusively at realfootballnetwork.com.
