There is plenty of news around the NFL on and off the field this week. Antonio Brown made waves with his decision to record Mike Tomlin’s postgame talk in the locker room after the Divisional Playoff game on Facebook Live. He has apologized, and the Steelers as an organization, from Mike Tomlin on down, has handled the situation well. But the incident still doesn’t sit well with us.
We also talk about what New England might be thinking in terms of trying to stop Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell. Greg Robinson says it’s hard to think that going into the game with one plan is going to work. Bell’s patience as a runner really threatens the integrity of a defense, and you have to first focus on fundamental gap discipline, but there are some wrinkles we think you can throw at Bell to try and slow him down.
Finally, after a lot of struggles during the regular season, kickers have been incredibly consistent and have made some big plays in these playoffs. Special teams become even more critical than usual in the postseason.Add to My RFN
